Comments: Angie sent me a contact for the water heater install on Thursday 7/14, with a tentative install of 7/16. That was changed to 7/17, and the plumber let me know that he wouldn't actually be available until 7/18. I had not had any hot water for 3 days, so when Mike from All Trades contacted me on Thursday and said that they could install a water heater on Friday 7/15, I was very happy. They took out a dead 30 gallon Sears electric hot water heater and were able to replace it with a 40 gallon AO Smith electric hot water heater on Friday 7/15, so I not only got a new top rated hot water heater, I got a 40 gallon replacement for the old 30 gallon heater. All Trades did a very professional job, and completed it within a time frame that allowed me to make a 1 pm Dr's appointment with time to spare.

Comments: This is the second time Iâ ve hired these great guys, and Iâ m so glad I did. I had a very old toilet that needed to be replaced. But all didnâ t go as planned when we saw that the piece that the toilet attaches to was completely eroded and needed to be replaced. They had to saw through the cast iron pipe in the basement and replace with PVC. A simple job that â shouldâ have taken a couple of hours at most quickly turned into 5 hours because of this significant extra work. This Company realized that my flu was blocked, which damaged the hot water heater for the second apartment. They noticed my vents were burnt out on the second water heater. The Company not only replaced both water heaters on the same day (so that my tenants would have hot water), they worked until 9:00 pm to finish. It turns out the flu was blocked because a bird and it's nest had fallen in the flu, and the bird died. The plumbers also realized that my former plumbers over the years "jerry rigged" a lot of the work. On their own, without even telling me, these gentlemen replaced many of the pipes, added much needed valves and cleaned up beautifully. The BEST part is that they stuck to their price quote, even after all the extra plumbing work, pulling out debris and removing a dead bird from the flu. They really went above and beyond! Comments: This was for installation of a new water heater. They called before arriving. The team of Mike and Brian (Bryon?) were friendly, polite, and like engineers on a mission, they quickly sized up what needed to be done. They considered options, gave pros and cons, provided their recommendation. As a licensed electrician and a licensed plumber, Mike was able to make necessary changes. There was a modest increase in cost from the over-the-phone estimate. Modest being the good word here, It could have been much higher. They were fast, focused, efficient, kept the area clean. I appreciate them and their work and would hire again.

Comments: My hot water heater broke down. After calling and leaving messages for a couple of local plumbers who never called back, I tried Home Advisor and within 5 minutes was connected to Mike. He made time for us the next morning. He was prompt, installed the new heater, and addressed a couple of issues that were potential safety hazards from work done by a previous plumber. We also asked him to look at a repair needed on the exterior of the house. He promptly assessed the problem, gave us a solution as to what repair was needed, and gave us an estimate that he felt would cover the cost even if there was more damage than what was already visible. I plan on hiring him for that repair and would highly recommend you call him if you have any plumbing issues. He's honest, reliable, and does the job correctly.

Mike ran the camera down the sewer line, helped diagnose the problem (the city damaged the line while excavating earlier in the week), and waited around to help me present my case to a supervisor from the Albany Water Department. Mike was knowledgeable, professional and intelligent in his assessment of a complicated problem.

Comments: Was very wary at first by using HomeAdvisor because I was unfamiliar with its policies and reputation. That changed when my brother and I met and approved Mr. McGovern for the work in one of our sinks. He did an excellent job, explaining all aspects of his investigation of the reasons for our very low water pressure, saved all well word and corroded parts that he replaced. The bottom line is that the problem lies with the possibility of Galvanized pipes from our second floor flat to the basemen. We must now decide if we will pursue future work to eradicate our problem. The parts that were replaced needed to be replaced to avoid future problems. If we decide to seek further action re the problem we will most assuredly choose Mr. McGovern. Both Michael and Bryan are very personable people you will feel comfortable having in your home. They Solved my plumbing need. My only complaint is that Michael received a call from a prospective client while working on my project and instead of stating he was on another job and would return the call when he was done he allowed her to go on and on. I wish I had been able to hire him to care for completing the project as the company I hired later was less than straightforward and ended up being far less professional, showing up late, not answering repeated phone calls, doubling their intiial estimate, and just generally being uncommunicative. Comments: On Tuesday November 21st we discovered water all under our kitchen sink. Our efforts to stop the leak failed. In desparation we checked Home Adviser. One of the pros was Alltrade Construction. Around 5:30pm we called and were amazed that Mike McGovern answered the phone and came by shortly (with his truck that had many supplies). Over the years many people did some plumbing work for us. Under the sink was a mess. We believed that all the pipes needed to be replaced for the sink to be reliably functional. As Mike got involved it became clear that everything had to be replaced. Mike did an excellent job in replacing and reconnecting the supply lines/faucet/& dishwasher. It was truly an exceptional job and got done the same evening. We were able to have a Thanksgiving dinner. The price he quoted was reasonable. We recommend him highly. Indeed we have scheduled another date for other plumbing problems in our home. Mike is a gentleman and very knowledgable in his work. It is a pleasure to have met him.
